We will be performing essential work on the college website Content Management System (CMS) as we are migrating between two different web form management systems. While this work is carried out the website will be put into system off mode, this will mean all requests will return a 503 website unavailable status with a maintenance message displayed instead.
Because the migration process makes changes to various areas of our database, we must ensure no data is written to the website during this process to avoid problems. Once the college website is temporarily turned off, a copy of the current live database will be made and the migration will be run on another environment and then our live environment overwritten with the migrated database.
From testing, the migration process is estimated to take around two hours.
We have reviewed our traffic analytics to find the least impactful time to perform this work. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
